The EMJD ICE Consortium is committed to user privacy. The policy on personal data protection is carried out in accordance with Regulation (EC) N° 45/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2000.


Although you can browse ICE PhD website without giving any information about yourself, in some cases, personal information is required as for the submission of the application form.
ICE PhD website treats personal data according to the policy described in the Regulation mentioned above and provide information about the use of your data in the specific privacy policy statements as described below.


Information We Collect
In operating our website we may collect and process the following data about you:

We may on occasion gather information regarding your computer whilst you are on our website. This enables us to improve our services and to provide statistical information regarding the use of our website where appropriate.

The information that we collect and store relating to you is primarily used to enable us to provide services to you. In addition, we may use the information for the following purposes:
i. To provide you with information requested from us, relating to the PhD course.
ii. To meet our commitments to you.

Please be advised that we do not reveal information about identifiable individuals to third parties, with the exception of other bodies involved in the management of Erasmus Mundus, but we may, on occasion, provide them with aggregate statistical information about our visitors.
Moreover, data supplied by candidates during the application phase will be collected by the University of Genoa, Department for Student Management and Education and International Activities – High-Level Academic Training, as coordinating institution of the ICE Consortium, and handled for selection and career procedures and used for selection and career procedures – as per the Italian Legislative Decree/Executive Order (D.L.vo) No. 196 of 30.06.2003. Any information that is obtained in connection with this application form and that can be identified with you will remain confidential and will be disclosed only with your permission or as required by Erasmus Mundus bodies and laws.
Storing Your Personal Data
We may transfer data that we collect from you to Erasmus Mundus bodies for processing and storing. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all reasonable steps to make sure that your data is treated securely and in agreement with this Privacy Policy.
Data that is provided to us is stored on our secure servers. Details relating to any transactions entered into on our site will be encrypted to ensure its safety.
The transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure and therefore we cannot guarantee the security of data sent to us electronically and transmission of such data is therefore entirely at your own risk. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password so that you can access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential.

Where applicable, we may disclose your personal information to other Erasmus Mundus bodies or consortium partners. This includes, where applicable, full, associated and endorsing partners.
